April showers big prizes on our lucky winners
April is the month we expect rain showers and for a group of lucky National Lottery players the downpour came in the form of cash! A total of 38 players won prizes of £1Million or more on National Lottery games during April – congratulations to each and every one of them.
Lotto had a great month creating a total of 13 millionaires (including 1 jackpot winner).
This new group of Lotto millionaires included Stephen Webster, 44, and his partner Arran Taylor, 40. The Somerset couple discovered their good fortune while preparing an Easter egg hunt for their children. You can read their ‘egg-cellent’ story here.
How would you feel if you won £122.5Million? Well, that’s the amazing prize scooped by one lucky EuroMillions UK jackpot winner in April. There was another massive win later in the month when another EuroMillions player scored a UK jackpot win of £59Million.
In April, we met a syndicate of bus drivers from Carlisle, who pulled out all the ‘stops’ to scoop a £1Million EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker win. You can read their ‘wheely’ amazing story here.
What about Set For Life? April delivered 2 top prize winners who each landed £10,000 a month for 30 years.
We met Teresa Robinson, 65, and her partner Charlie Hobson, 62, who popped a bottle of bubbly after winning a fantastic Set For Life prize of £10,000 every month for 1 year. The couple have their eye on a Caribbean holiday when it is safe to travel. Read their story here.
Thunderball continued to rumble in April with 2 players each winning a top prize of £500,000.
And there was plenty of action on the Instant Win Game front with a total of 5 players winning prizes of £50,000 or more. 2 of them won £100,000 each and 1 very fortunate player scooped £1Million!
We met Simon Wilcock, a signwriter from Helston, Cornwall who scored a £100,000 Jackpot Yellow Instant Win Game win. Simon’s windfall came just days after he lost his beloved mother to cancer. Read his moving story here.
