First month of 2022 makes 47 new National Lottery millionaires

Lotto provided 7 of our players with a particularly Happy New Year as they each saw £1MMillion added to their bank account.

Meanwhile, EuroMillions served up an extraordinary number of UK winners. While most of us were busy taking down the Christmas decorations, a lucky group of 32 players became EuroMillions millionaires.

Rugby fan Mark Francis scooped his £1MMillion prize in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw on 4th January 2022. The 49-year-old from Swansea hopes to use some of his prize to watch his favourite teams, the Ospreys, Wales and the British and Irish Lions, on their foreign tours as soon as travel restrictions ease. Meanwhile, the National Lottery’s Set for Life game made January 2022 a month one lucky player will never forget. They scooped a top prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years.

There was plenty of New Year’s action for Thunderball players too. A trio of intrepid Thunderballers won top prizes of £500,000 each.

The Instant Win Game action was fast and furious in January as a total of 6 players won prizes of £50,000 or more. Three of them won an amazing £1MMillion each, while another 3 players scored prizes of £300,000, £250,000 and £100,000 respectively. Congratulations to you all!

Scratchcards also started the year in fine form. 2 very lucky players won prizes of £2MMillion each and another pair of prosperous players scratched off prizes of £1MMillion each.
